Yellow Cake Water Color

A secret about this cake is that it tasted awful! I made this cake to surprise my mother for her birthday and we both agreed it was a complete fail. I followed the recipe exactly and was greatly influenced by how gorgeous, yet simple the cake looked in the photo. However, my brother absolutely devoured the cake. To this day he still sings this cake’s praises. As we often say about art, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” in parallel we can say, “taste is in the mouth of the beholder”, about cakes.
